 Re: No notification... =(
Personally, I'm pretty meh about the whole thing. Choosing to run testing in every 2 or 3 month cycles, then only for a couple days, isn't very good business, IMO. And really strange too. A lot of people have given up. I'm a forum whor3, so I am stuck here, lol.

 Re: No notification... =(
give up your spot then. alpha and beta testing isnt supposed to be to drum up business, its supposed to be for actual testing of the product to get it ready for launch.

No kidding. The people who test the games are the ones that tell people if its worth buying or not when it goes live, along side the testing and feedback. Do you actually think everyone tests a game, loves it, and buys it? And we are not robots here to do the bidding of a game developer. They don't want robots. Testers test games in different ways, thats how they get developed. I stated my thoughts that I believe it is very odd the way the testing is run with this game. And it is a fact that a lot of people have left because of it. All those people can't recommend the game to their friends due to various reasons. Anyway, I feel like I'm wasting my keystrokes here. Moving forward....

Moving forward.... Just a bit of a devil's advocate post here, I know plenty of people who don't care for the testing cycle who would still recommend the game to their friends for live. I wouldn't be shocked if a check of the testers who stopped testing are the same way. They didn't leave the game because they didn't like it, they just left because they wanted to play it more, and when they can play it more, possibly at launch or an open beta, they will be doing just that.

 Re: No notification... =(
I agree with Razziel.
This is also pretty common for beta testing. Out of recent memory, CO did it, Ran-World did it, Tatsumaki's doing it. Then there's many others that have done it in previous years.
Keep in mind, MMO server/server farms are expensive, and HiRez currently has NO INCOME besides Erez's own financial activities. Once pre-orders come out, we can expect longer testing times and shorter cycles (and that's pretty soon, from what I've heard).
